First GSA Meeting

Today was the first day I attended GSA, and when I walked in I was amazed by the large crowd, although that may have just been because it was national coming out week. There was also a guest speaker, who was a member of the CIGSYA house, and we discussed transgender people. I think this was interesting because it definitely broadened my horizon a little bit, while giving me some insight into how these people may feel, and how amazing they are for doing what they do. This meeting was nothing like I thought it would be, in a good way. It was like, nobody was afraid to say what they were feeling- somewhat like a huge family of friends. Although there was only myself and one other senior there, I think I am really goign to enjoy this group, and I look foward to making friends with people who I wouldn't normally talk to because of the difference in grades.
